"Great time."
I was looking for something new and fun to do with my work team as an employee recognition/appreciation activity. We wanted to do something that was outside, so we could enjoy the good weather and of course, we love to eat, so this was the perfect blend. This was a wonderful activity! Our guide and host were great, just very nice people who wanted to make sure the experience was fun and informative, and they took great caution to ensure that the food allergies/sensitivities in our group were accommodated. Each place we visited also provided great service and most importantly, everything was delicious! This is a great activity to do as a work team or with friends/family. Highly recommend!
"Knowledge & Food! Amazing!"
I went on this tour with a few co-workers. The day of the tour was HOT, but the stops we made in between each location was perfectly timed. Vinal, our tour guide, was incredibly well spoken about Ann Arbor and the history behind the city, so it really made my tour one of a kind! The amount of food and/or drink prepared at each stop was perfect! I was full (but not so full I couldn’t walk around comfortably!) Some of the employees or owners at the stops talked to us and told us all about how their business came to be. By The Sidewalk Food Tours will tour rain or shine! I highly recommend for anyone looking for something to do in A2!
"A DELICIOUS and insightful tour of Ann Arbor's food scene!"
This tour is exceptional in that it reveals how the city of Ann Arbor is crafting extraordinary cuisine from local, organic food sources, and how its restaurants are helping to create a sense of community and endowing the town with a wide palette of cultural and culinary diversity. The food samples I covered in my tour ranged from Cuban fritas to tea-infused macaroons (sounds strange but I would sell my left arm for one of these). I've been to Ann Arbor before, but I have never seen it from this angle. I really like that the tour not only covers the town's history, but also gives some insight on what the restaurants there are working towards today: individuality, a break from the big fast food chains, and a focus on locally grown food.
"Awesome way to experience Ann Arbor"
My daughter just moved to Ann Arbor and I didn't really know much about it. We took this tour and had an amazing experience. It ended up being just the 5 of us so the tour ended up being very personalized. Our guide Marcie was amazing and really helped get a feel for downtown Ann Arbor, its history, and its food! Loved being able to sample lots of different food and got to try some stuff I never would have ordered but will again now! I definitely recommend this tour to anyone that wants to learn more about Ann Arbor and experience its food! Just be prepared to walk quite a bit no matter the weather - we had a 90+ day so it was pretty hot but all the stops supplied us with lots of water.
"Perfect way to experience A2 Foodie Scene!"

"The perfect veg-friendly food tour!"
I loved the fact that historical facts about Ann Arbor were weaved into the tour! We were seated immediately upon entering each restaurant and we ended the tour feeling full. This is the perfect way to spend the afternoon, even if you are familiar with Ann Arbor's food scene.
"Fantastic Glimpse of Food in Ann Arbor"
I loved trying all the different cuisines available in Ann Arbor! From award winning pizza, to The food tour was great. I learned about the history of Ann Arbor and specific areas, like Kerrytown and Main Street. It was fun to learn the history, while also sampling some of Ann Arbor's finest offerings. Jan, our tour guide, was kind, funny, and informative. There was a wide selection of food samples including appetizers, local produce, entrees, and desserts. Such a fun glimpse into what Ann Arbor has to offer!
"Tasty Food!"
I loved this food tour. The guides were informative and courteous, and the food was DELICIOUS. The quantity was more than enough for lunch, but not overwhelming - and, it included a delicious coffee drink! I also really liked that the guides talked about culture and history in addition to the epic food scene. Highly recommend!
